Frequently asked questions
How many photos can a slideshow hold?
TikTok allows up to 35 images in one post. Every one of them gets its own button here, numbered in the order they appear.
Why are they JPG and not PNG?
Because TikTok stores them as JPG. Converting to PNG afterwards would make larger files without recovering any of the detail lost in the original compression.
Can I get them all in one tap?
No. Browsers block a page from starting many downloads at once, so each photo is its own button. That is a browser rule, not a limit we chose.
Is the sound included in the images?
No — images cannot carry audio. The sound is a separate MP3 button when the post has one.
Why does my post show as a video instead?
Because it is one. Some creators export a slideshow as a video before uploading, and at that point the separate photos no longer exist on TikTok’s side.
Do the photos keep their original order?
Yes. The numbering follows the order in the post.
Does this work on private posts?
No. Only public posts can be read.
Can I repost these photos?
They belong to whoever made them. Saving for your own use is one thing; publishing them under your own name is not, and may breach copyright.
